I know most of my commenters are Virginia based, but I wanted to inform you about a strong candidate for a Congressional seat in the Eastern Shore of Maryland.  Andy Harris is challenging Wayne Gilchrest for the 1st Congressional seat.  It is about time that a real conservative steps up to the plate and return the 1st District back to solid, conservative principles.  Andy Harris will be the best choice for this seat, because he protects the right to life, lowering taxes and will not back down from the Iraq War.

    Gilchrest is way too liberal for this district.  He votes against tax increases (hello, so not cool!), voted against the War in Iraq, and he votes in step with the Pelosi crowd.   The first district is solidly Republican and conservative for the most part.  I do not know why Gilchrest has such rabid appeal, but there seems to be indication of a strong anti-incumbent tie in this year’s election.

     Andy Harris is currently serving in the State Senate.  Harris is a doctor, and he brings strong leadership and dedication that will only make him an asset in Congress.   His record is solidly conservative through his advocacy of being pro-life and fighting for the working families by lowering taxes.   This is the type of leader who should be in Congress.  One who will stand as an advocate for the First Congressional District.
